NES
This is the console that started it all for me. This was the sole reason the video game market rebounded from the Atari crash. We would not be where we are today video game wise if not for the
NES.
Sega Genesis
The Genesis was the second console that I owned. Sega came up with a great marketing strategy for the Genesis. They realized the NES kids where now teenagers and contrasted Nintendo's familiy friendly games with more adult themed choices.
Sony Playstation
The console that signalled the switch to CD-ROM based games. Since the CD was read only, this system required a memory card to save game data.
Atari Jaguar
The console that spelled doom for Atari as a hardware manufacturer. Great technology but too difficult to program which meant a lack of guality 3rd party titles.
